This post supports the day to day implementation of the marketing and publicity strategy for the BBC London Orchestras and Choirs â€“ BBC Concert Orchestra, BBC Symphony Orchestra, BBC Singers and BBC Symphony Chorus.Â
You will work as part of a Marketing, Publicity, Learning, Audience Development and Publications team.Â Â Â Â
You will be managed by the Marketing Manager, BBC London Orchestras and Choirs
Working as part of a Marketing, Publicity, Learning and Audience Development team youâ€™ll provide support to the marketing and communications team, and assist in the implementation of the marketing and publicity strategy for the London performing groups, with duties including maintaining websites, compiling e-newsletters, and acting as the front of house representative at live events and concerts.
The Ideal Candidate
You will need to have a good understanding and experience of marketing and publicity techniques and how to apply them with proven experience of working in this kind of environment. A wide knowledge of both classical and popular orchestral and choral repertoire is required, and proven experience of updating and maintaining dynamic websites and using social media.Â Excellent written skills areÂ essential as well as proven proofreading experience with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.Â You will need the ability to organise and prioritise a variable workload and workÂ independently and as a team player. You will ideally have the ability to deal with a wide range of people with tact and diplomacy.
