Job Introduction
As part of the BBC’s goal to simplify its working practices, we are beginning a review of terms and condition across the corporation. Over the next few months, we will be working in partnership with the Trade Unions to agree priorities for the project, and then developing ideas and solutions together to implement.

The HR Project Co-ordinator will play an integral role in supporting the delivery of this project, by working alongside the HR Project team to co-ordinate activities and reports and provide accurate and timely data to support decision making.

Main Responsibilities

Key accountabilities include:
Collating and owning key people data and undertaking detailed data analysis
Clearly and concisely presenting and communicating key people data to HR colleagues and other stakeholders in a timely and consistent manner
Operating as the first point of contact for employees around the UK to respond to routine queries or escalate them where appropriate
Tracking and monitoring progress and escalating business risks where appropriate
Collaboratively working with other parts of the BBC to identify pan-BBC dependencies and report back to key stakeholders
Working closely with the HR Business Partners to ensure key HR processes are followed consistently and correctly and in line with relevant policy
Working closely with the HR to ensure smooth implementation and handover project activity to business as usual at the appropriate point.

The Ideal Candidate
For this position, we are looking for someone who can demonstrate the following:

Good knowledge of relevant office software most notably Microsoft Excel, Word and Powerpoint;
Data savvy and able to analyse, interpret and report back key themes and make recommendations;
An understanding of project management and HR processes in complex and challenging organisations;
Is ready and able to take the initiative, originate action and be responsible for the consequences of the decisions made;
Communicates challenges and influences a variety of stakeholders effectively. Ability to present sound and well-reasoned arguments to convince others. Can draw from a range of strategies to persuade people in a way that results in agreement or behaviour change;
Adapts and works effectively with a variety of situations, individuals or groups. Is able to understand and appreciate different and opposing perspectives on an issue, to adapt an approach as the requirements of a situation change, and to change or easily accept changes in one’s own organisation or job requirements;
Can maintain personal effectiveness by managing own emotions in the face of pressure, set-backs or when dealing with provocative situations. Can demonstrate an approach to work that is characterised by commitment and motivation;
Able to simplify complex problems, processes or projects into component parts, explore and evaluate them systematically.
